It started with a bike, a backpack, and a question: why is car care still stuck in the past?
Back in 2017, our founder Will Mapstone was delivering takeaways by bike and noticing just how many cars were being neglected – coated in city grime, dented, dulled, forgotten. The problem wasn’t that people didn’t care about their cars. It was that they didn’t have time. Life moves fast, and the old way of car care just couldn’t keep up.
So, Will asked himself – what if car care was as easy as ordering a pizza?
That idea became Washdoctors. A mobile, app-based solution built to bring quality car care to your door, while also empowering skilled valeters to grow their own local businesses. A few hundred washes, a pivot (or two), and a few years later, Washdoctors has grown into something bigger than we ever imagined.
Now, in 2025, we’re proud to relaunch with a fresh look, smarter tech, and a sharper focus. And we’re still building with the same belief: car care should be simple, premium, and made for your lifestyle.
